Come enjoy the magic of Sacred Groves!

The Sacred Groves Bed and Breakfast received its business license in 2009. We are a little “Eco-retreat” inspired by our values of voluntary simplicity, sharing resources, and minimizing our impact. We welcome guests year-round.

Our Guest Yurts are sweet, round free-standing yurt-cabins near the Round House that can sleep 2-3 (double and single). They are spacious, warm, light. The bathroom is a few steps away in the Round House. There are a few small kitchen appliances: coffee and/or tea maker, micro-wave, toaster oven, small refrigerator.

When staying at Sacred Groves you will have access to wi-fi, forest trails, labyrinth in the woods, meadows, beautiful gardens, sunny deck space, trampoline and parking. If you want to use our kitchen to prepare a meal, we can arrange that at a time when the kitchen will be “yours” for awhile. We also offer breakfast options for those who want (see below). Children are welcome, and if you would like to bring your animal friend with you, please let us know.

Rates
1-3 nights: $65/night for 1 person (add $5/person for additional people).
Four nights or more: $55/night for 1 person. (add $5/person/day for additional people)
We request a $10 cleaning fee if you bring a dog.

Rates include coffee/tea available in your yurt.

To make a reservation: Please e-mail us or call 206-842-7141 to see if there is space available when you want to come. If so, please confirm your plan by making a deposit equivalent to the cost of one night’s stay using PayPal or your credit card by clicking the “Donate” button below. If you cancel, you will not receive a refund, but your deposit will apply to a future stay at the Groves.

Note: Sacred Groves is only 10 minutes by car from grocery stores, deli and restaurants. A Thai restaurant is a 10 minute walk from here.

“I’ve always been a sociable friendly, extroverted individual, so when I started getting repeated promptings to pursue a “walk within” (or solo retreat), I wasn’t sure about just how to find the right spot in which to sequester myself. Armed with the internet, a short list of requirements, and faith that I would find that which I sought, it wasn’t long before Sacred Groves became the obvious answer. They had an ideal-looking yurt available on the dates I was interested in. The costs were reasonable, the site was beautiful and acessible…while still seeming remote. When I first arrived and was shown to the beautiful little yurt that would be my home for the next six nights, I immediately knew I had made the right choice. All the amenities I really needed, all the natural beauty I could explore, all the privacy I could ask for…and the lovely, wise, and accomodating-but-totally-non-imposing Tere. The Sacred Groves site is truly filled with it’s own amazing energies, and the Sun Yurt was the perfect place to just breathe, meditate, pray, chant, grieve, write…exist, alone and disconnected from life’s usual chaos. More than a retreat, that Sun Yurt became a coccoon, from which I emerged a rather different version of myself.
