We always celebrate the change of seasons here at the Groves as our way of honoring and putting ourselves in alignment with Mother Earth’s journey through the wheel of the year. These events usually include songs, circle dances, prayers, poems and feasting. Please RSVP.
CELEBRATE AUTUMN’s ARRIVAL with our Descent into the Darkness Ritual! –October 9, 7:30pm-9pm
(Potluck dinner starts around 6:30pm….Show up anytime after 6pm.)
This ritual has become a favorite for helping us make friends with the deepening darkness each fall. We walk with candles down through the woods singing and story-telling…..ending around a bonfire with more songs, dances and stories. We’ll meet in the meadow rain or shine so be prepared for walking forest paths and outdoor time.
To Bring: food for potluck, poems, stories or songs to share about autumn and darkness
Season’s Change Sweatlodge
October 10, all day
In addition to a short, family-friendly ritual at every season’s change, Therese and Tere generally host a sweatlodge, open to both men and women, as a way to honor and release the passing season, then open ourselves to the mystery and goodness of the new season coming in. Please RSVP for details.
