Directions
Because we live on a one-lane dead-end road and have limited parking, we encourage people to bring your smaller car, carpool, use public transportation, or take a cab if coming from Seattle on the ferry..
Public Transportation: Kitsap Transit bus leaves from the ferry and will bring you to the end of Holly Farm Lane in the late afternoon and evening on week-day afternoons & evenings– Bus #106 Fletcher Bay.
Taxis meet most ferries so you don’t necessarily have to set this up in advance. From the ferry to the Groves, cost is around $10, less if you share the cab with others. Taxis and Tours: 206-842-7660. Bainbridge Is. Taxi: 206-842-1021
Parking: There are many places to park along Holly Farm Lane, look for signs. When you park, scoot in close to other cars. OK to block cars in, but please leave the keys on the floor so your car can be easily moved if necessary.

Directions from the Seattle ferry dock
(at the western end of Madison Avenue)
- Take the ferry to Bainbridge Island from Coleman Dock in downtown Seattle, which is at the western end of Yesler Ave.
- Drive straight off the ferry and continue north on highway 305 until the 4th light
- Turn left onto Madison and fairly immediately, turn right onto New Brooklyn Road
- Go up and down three big hills
- At the bottom of the third hill (you see a blinking light ahead), look for Holly Farm Lane (dirt road with street sign) on the right
- TURN RIGHT onto Holly Farm Lane.
- Go ¼ mile on Holly Farm lane. You’ll see the Sacred Groves sign. My property begins here and borders the lane on the left. If you are coming to the Round House, pull in right there.
- To find parking for the Moonlodge and the Meadow, keep driving straight, past the Sacred Groves sign and past the next driveway on the left. The next left says “Log Cabin.” To get to the Meadow (where the sweatlodge is), you can park in the log cabin driveway, or on the right side of the lane across from the “Log Cabin” sign. You can also continue driving and park in the little parking lot further up on the left. The trail to meadow is at the end of the driveway.
- For The Moonlodge–There is another parking area further up near the end of the lane on the left, marked by a Sacred Groves sign. Park there; you’ll see a little sign for the trail down the hill to the Moonlodge and Meadow from there.
- More parking on the corner, just beyond that parking area on the left.
- Please tuck your car close to other cars, keeping Holly Farm Lane and neighbors’ driveways clear.
From Hood Canal bridge, Poulsbo and/or the north end of Bainbridge Island.
- From Hood Canal bridge, follow highway 3 south to Poulsbo, where you turn onto highway 305 toward Bainbridge Island
- Follow Highway 305 over the bridge and onto the Island
- Follow Highway 305 to Sportsmans Club Road (2nd light)—TURN RIGHT
- Follow Sportsmans Club Road to the stop sign/blinking light.
- TURN RIGHT onto New Brooklyn Road.
- Go up and down two big hills
- At the bottom of the second hill (you see a blinking light ahead), look for Holly Farm Lane (dirt road with street sign) on the right,
- TURN RIGHT onto Holly Farm Lane.

Note: in respect to those with chemical sensitivities, please don’t wear perfume when you come to the Groves. In respect to our environment, please don’t bring bottled water. We have good water from a 70foot well that you can re-fill your re-usable water bottle with. Read more about the problems associated with bottled water here.
